XC Girls at Footlocker Northeast

Analise Kaminski, Brenna Marzano, Katya Monarski, Kacey Tramont and Elizabeth Steenkemer finished the XC season with one final meet at historical Van Courtlandt Park in the Footlocker Northeast Championships. Analise Kaminski and Brenna Marzano medaled in finishing 5th and 30th respectively.

Girls Finish Top 5 in the State!

The Saint Mark's girls' XC team again rose to the challenge and made their way back into the top 5 for Division II in the state on Saturday at the DIAA State Championships.

The girls’ cross country team ended their season with an impressive 5th place finish at the DIAA state meet on Saturday. Senior Analise Kaminski concluded her Saint Mark’s career with a 4th place finish in a season-best 19:15. She now holds both the #1 and #2 fastest times at Killen’s Pond in school history. Kaminski led Saint Mark’s in all 42 races during her running career, an accomplishment that has never been done in school history. Sophomore Lauren Augustynowicz (21:56) led a team pack of senior Brenna Marzano (22:20), sophomore Cameron Johnson (22:23), and freshman Kacey Tramont (22:26), who all finished within 10 spots to carry the team. Junior Ally Walls (23:06) and sophomore Ana Dacey (23:27) also competed well for the Spartans! Thanks for a memorable season!

Catholic Conferences 2015

The varsity and JV finished second overall at the Catholic Conference Championship on Friday at Bellevue State Park. In the varsity race, all seven girls finished with season-best or lifetime-best performances. Analise Kaminski (19:25) led the way by finishing 2nd overall. She earned 1st-Team All-Catholic Conference honors with her performance. Sophomore Lauren Augustynowicz finished 12th overall (21:48), earning 2nd-Team All-Catholic honors. Senior Brenna Marzano (22:00), also earning 2nd-Team All-Catholic honors. The girls combined to score 59 points to edge #4 ranked Ursuline by 2 points. This is the first victory vs. Ursuline since 2010. Cameron Johnson (22:16), Ana Dacey (22:22), Ally Walls (22:22), and Kacey Tramont (22:23) all ran PRs to help put all seven varsity runners ahead of Ursuline's #5.

The JV race also followed a similar pattern, with the top two girls up front running lifetime PRs. Katya Monarski (23:38) and Maggie Myers (23:41) led the charge for the second place finish over Ursuline. Andie Moran (24:24), Kelsey Ladics (25:39), and Caroline Puhl (25:56) held important positions for the girls.

Joe O'Neill Invitational

Sixteen cross-country girls combined to run their fastest 5Ks of the season at the Joe O’Neill Invitational. The meet is named in memory of Joe O’Neill, the legendary Saint Mark’s cross-country coach who coached the team for forty years. Analise Kaminski led the way with 12th-place finish in 19:28. Brenna Marzano also had a memorable day, finishing 84th overall in 22:15. Lauren Augustynowicz, Cameron Johnson, Ally Walls, Ana Dacey, and Kacey Tramont all had their best races of the season for the varsity squad. Andie Moran, Katya Monarski, Maggie Myers, Kelsey Ladics, and Caroline Puhl were the top finishers for the JV. The varsity finished 13th out of 35 schools, and the JV finished 10th overall!

Reebok Manhattan Invitational

The girls had their best team race of the season at the Reebok Manhattan Invitational on Saturday at Van Courtlandt park in the Bronx in NY City.

Sallies Invite

The varsity finished 8th in the D race and the JV finished 5th in the C race at the Six Flags Invitational in NJ over the weekend. Analise led the way with a 5th place finish on the course in 19:40. Brenna Marzano and Cameron Johnson both cracked 23:00 to make the top-25 list for all time performances on the course.

SMXC 28- Archmere 29

For the first time since 2010, the Saint Mark's XC team defeated Archmere in a head-to-head match-up. The girls came away with a 28-29 victory over the Auks, with key races from our top four girls. Marzano, Augustynowicz, and Johnson all ran PRs to hold off Archmere's runners in a tight finish. Analise Kaminski ran away with the victory, covering the course in 19:35. That is the 5th fastest senior time in school history for 5000M, and her fastest season-opener ever at Bellevue.

Briarwood Invitational

The girls finished 6th overall at the Briarwood Invitational at Belmont Plateau in Philadelaphia, PA. Analise Kaminski again led the way with a second place finish in the meet. She covered the challenging 5K in 20:36. Brenna Marzano finished 31st overall, and sophomores Lauren Augustynowicz and Cameron Johnson finished 38th and 47th respectively. Ally Walls rounded out the top 5. Freshman Kacey Tramont had a very impressive JV finish.

Lake Forest Invitational

The girls finished 7th overall at the Lake Forest Invitational at Killen's Pond. Analise Kaminski finished 2nd overall, and covered the course in 19:48. Lauren Augustynowicz, Cameron Johnson, Ally Walls, Katya Monarski, and Ana Dacey all had excellent races for the Spartans!
