Girls finish 10th overall at DIAA State Meet with 27 points!

Kaminski 3rd in 1600M, 4x400 (Kaminski, Tramont, Husbands, Puhl) finish 7th overall!

The girls finished 10th overall at the DIAA state meet on Friday and Monday. The 4x100M and 4x200M teams of Puhl, Yacucci, Price, and Wasko had great performances on Saturday as well, as Price and Wasko ran in their final relays after being with team for four seasons!

Eissmann, Kaminski and 4x800 (Kaminski, Tramont, Husbands, Pala) make it to Meet of Champs

The Saint Mark's girls currently sit in 4th place with 19 points at the DIAA state meet. They are 1/2 point out of the top-3 heading into Monday's events. The 4x800M team of Analise Kaminski, Kacey Tramont, Katie Husbands, and Julia Pala finished 4th overall in a season-best times of 10:19.65. They made it to the Meet of Champs for the first time in four years! Sarah Eissmann and Milena Procope finished in 3rd and 5th in the discus, with Eissmann earning a spot at Meet of Champs. Analise Kaminski came back to finish 5th overall in the 3200M with a times of 11:48. She also earned a spot at the Meet of Champions, which is to be held next Wednesday evening at Dover. Brenna Marzano finished 10th in the 3200M, running 12:55.

Events on Monday will begin at 3:00pm in Dover.

The Meet of Champions consists of the top eight performances from the DIAA State Meet.

Kaminski Earns Highest Honor at Senior Sports Banquet

Senior Analise Kaminski was named the Saint Mark's Most Valuable Athlete at the Senior Sports Banquet at Saint Mark's on Monday May 16th!

She now joins Gabrielle Jackson (track-2008), Courtney Schweizer (XC-2009), Lindsay Prettyman (track-2010), Kacey Prettyman (track-2010), Emily Frydrych(XC/Track-2011), and Kaki Armiger (XC-2012) as the 7th athlete from the XC and/or Track & field program to take home this award in the last nine years!

Girls Combine for 14 PRs at Counties!

The girls' track and field team set 14 PRs at the New Castle County Championship at Baynard on Friday and Saturday.

Milena Procope and Analise Kaminski led the way to score for the team, with Procope finishing 6th in the discus with a new PR of 95'0". Kaminski finished 6th overall in the 1600M with a time of 5:22.73. Kaminski came back to run 2:25 in the 800M.

The girls finished 10th overall in the 4x400M, running a season-best time of 4:24.95 (Kaminski (1:04.2), Tramont (1:06.8) Puhl (1:05.8), and Husbands (1:07.7).

Kacey Tramont ran a fast PR of 5:52.73 in the 1600M, and Julia Pala won her heat of the 800M with a new PR of 2:36.35.

The 4x800M team had a really great race (Tramont (2:35), Kaminski (2:25), Pala (2:41) and Husbands (2:47) and unofficially finished in 10:29.

Girls finish 3rd at Catholics! Kaminski double winner in 1600M and 800M, Eissmann-Procope go 1-2 in Discus

The girls competed on Tuesday at the Catholic Conference Championship at Baynard Stadium. Sarah Eissmann and Milena Procope led off the day by going 1-2 in the discus. Eissmann's throw of 108" is her second best throw ever, and Procope qualified for states with a throw of 92'8"!! Analise Kaminski took first in both the 1600M and the 800M. After a very tactical win in the 1600M (6:00), she came back a popped a season-best 2:24.62 in the 800M.

The 4x800M team of Julia Pala (2:39), Cameron Johnson (2:45), Isabella Hanrahan (2:48), and Katie Husbands (2:43) put on a gutsy performance to lead off the distance events. Their time of 10:57 was 12 seconds faster than Unionville!

Brenna Marzano posted a career best 12:48.53 to finish 3rd overall in the 3200M, and Cameron Johnson came back to PR and finish 5th in 13:53.08.

Erin Derick jumped 4'2" to tie for fifth place in the High Jump, Isabella Hanrahan picked up a 5th in the 400M (PR of 1:10.00), LeNia Price placed fifth in the long jump, and Milena Procope drew a 4th place in the shot put. The 4x400M team of Carly Wasko, Katie Husbands, Kacey Tramont, and Caroline Puhl finished 3rd in the 4x400M.

Unionville Invitational

Analise Kaminski ran one of the fastest 1600M times in school history, clipping a 5:16.03 for fourth overall at the Unionville Invitational. Sarah Eissmann finished fifth overall in the discus with a throw of 97'7". There were many impressive performances and multiple PRs on Saturday at the meet.

Help Izzy's Dad - Bring David Home

Izzy King's dad, David King, suffered a serious injury while skiing in Utah and needs our help. Izzy was a 2011 graduate from Saint Mark's. She was a four-year member of the XC and track and field teams, and set 3 school records for the team. Her dad needs our help in order to raise the money to fly back to the east coast for treatment and surgery.

Girls finish 6th at AI Invitational

Kaminski and Eissmann with big wins, Marzano finishes 2nd overall in 3200M

The girls combined to set 25 more season-best performances at the AI Invitational on Friday night. Analise Kaminski and Sarah Eissmann were big winners in the 800M and discus respectively. Kaminski's 2:25.82 is a season best. She came back to split a 1:02.5 in the 4x400M. Eissmann's throw of 103 took home first in the discus. Breanna Marzano ran a personal best of 13:02.04 in the 3200M to finish 2nd overall! The 4x400M team of Kaminski, Anna Yacucci, Carly Wasko, and Kacey Tramont ran 4:25.27 to finish 3rd overall and earn medals!

Seniors Graduate 14-2 over 4 years

Team sets 34 Season-Best PRs in double wins vs. Caravel and Conrad

The seniors will graduate with a combined record of 14-2 over the last four years. Since 2010, Saint Mark's Track & Field has combined to go 27-4-1!! The team defeated both Caravel and Conrad to improve to 3-1 this season.

Carly Wasko was a double winner in both the 400M and 200M, and she also ran on the winning 4 x 400 –meter relay team with Analise Kaminski, Kacey Tramont, and Anna Yacucci. The 4 x 200-meter relay team of Abby Douglas, Meredith Fish, Mackenzie Francine, and Lindsey McDuell ran an impressive race to win as well. Milena Procope took first overall in the shot put and second in the discus, and Sarah Eissmann took first in the discus. Kaminski also won the 800-meters, and ran on the winning 4 x 800-meter relay team with Julia Pala, Brenna Marzano, and Kacey Tramont. The team combined to set an incredible 34 season-best performances at the meet!

Big marks at the Ursuline/Newark Charter Dual

The girls split the meet vs. Newark Charter and Ursuline

March 23, 2016- The girls started the season with a win vs. Ursuline and a loss vs. Newark Charter at the tri-meet at the Saint Mark's (Newark Charter 68, Saint Mark's 45, Ursuline 26).

The girls took first place in the 800M, 1600M, 4x400M, Discus, and Long Jump. Analise Kaminski and Sarah Eissmann lead the way with state qualifying performances. Sarah Eissmann's discus throw of 97'0" eclipsed the 94' she threw to win the county meet last year. Analise Kaminski ran away with a win in the 1600M, earning her an automatic qualifier and an outdoor personal best. She also came back to win the 800M and anchor the winning 4x400M relay (1:06.2).

The 4x400M relay team of Kacey Tramont, Carline Puhl, Anna Yacucci, and Kaminski had a great season-opener with a win.
