DIAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

Procope 5th in Shot, 4x8 and Corbett finish 8th to score!

The girls finished out the season at the Delaware state meet in Landover, MD, with historical performances! Milena Procope threw the shot put 33'10.5" to score fifth place for the Spartans! Her throw is the #2 throw in school history! The 4x800M team of Sarah Donaldson, Lauren Augustynowicz, Kacey Tramont, and Ana Dacey finished 8th overall t a mark of 15' 7.75".

The 4x200m team of Caroline Puhl, Aniya Wright, Ashley Tucker, and Gianna Corbett ran their fastest time of the season in 1:58, finishing second overall in their heat! Sarah Donaldson also came back to run 2:33 in the open 800M, and the 4x400 team of Puhl, Augustynowicz, Tramont, and Donaldson ran 4:32!

SMTF Sets 35 new season best PRs at Ocean Breeze Invitational

Girls combine for 35 PRs, Corbett medals in Long Jump!

The girls combined to set 35 season-best PRs at the Ocean Breeze Invitational on Sunday. Gianna Corbett finished 2nd overall in the Freshman Long Jump to earn a medal in the meet! The 4x400m team of Caroline Puhl, Kacey Tramont, Lauren Augustynowicz, and Sarah Donaldson finished 6th in their heat and ran a season-best 4:31.90. The performance ranks them #9 in the state heading into the state meet!

Senior Milena Procope finished 10th overall in her heat of the shot put, and feshman Sarah Donaldson finished 14th overall in the freshman 800M in 2:33.00. Freshmen Maddie Pruitt and Cathryn Deveney finished first and second respectively in their heat of the freshmen 400M with new PRs!

The girls compete again next Saturday at the DIAA state meet!

Corbett Breaks Long Jump School Record!

Jumps 16' 2.5" to break 28-year record!

For the second straight week, Saint Mark's Girls' Track & Field makes it into the record books! This time it was Gianna Corbett, whose jump of 16'2.5" shatters the old record by almost an entire foot! She finished 9th overall in the event, and now holds the #6 mark in Delaware. She also jumped 4'8" in the high jump to qualify for the state meet! Freshman Sarah Donaldson finished 9th overall in the 1600-Meters, and senior Mileana Procope finished 10th overall in the shot put, setting a new indoor PR of 30'5"!

DMR Record Falls at Ursinus!!

Girls run 13:54.95 to break record by 9 seconds!

The girl's track & field relay team of Lauren Augustynowicz, Caroline Puhl, Kacey Tramont, and Sarah Donaldson broke the school record in the Distance Medley Relay on Sunday at Ursinus. Their time of 13:54 broke the record by 9 seconds! Gianna Corbett finished 8th overall in the long jump, and Milena Procope and Sarah Eissmann had great performances in the shot put!

N5CTA Winter Series Meet

1/8 at Haverford The team combined for some excellent performances at Haverford at the N5CTA Winter Series. Sarah Donaldson led the way in the 800M run by winning her heat in a time of 2:32.87. Her time was #4 on the day in the event. Kacey Tramont also won her heat of the 800M in 2:43.86. The 4x400M team of Meghan Kane, Ashley Tucker, Jillian Boffa, and Cameron Johnson finished 8th overall to score for the team. Sarah Eissmann threw a PR performance of 27-5 in the shot put, and Liz Steenkamer ran a 20+ second PR in the 1600M (6:21).

The girls compete again next Sunday at Ursinus.

Ocean Breeze Holiday Festival

The girls opened up the 2016-2017 season at the Ocean Breeze Holiday Festival at the Ocean Breeze facility in Staten Island, NY. Senior Milena Procope led the way with a state qualifying mark of 29-4.5 in the shot put! She finished 8th overall! The 4x400M team of Lauren Augustynowicz, Caroline Puhl, Sarah Donaldson, and Gianna Corbett won their heat in 4:37.19 and finished 6th overall! The 4x800M team of Augustywowicz, Donaldson, Ana Dacey, and Cameron Johnson finished 7th in their heat in 11:04!

Steve Sinko and Preston Buenega team up for Philadelphia Marathon

Steve Sinko is a former Saint Mark's XC and track & field runner and school record holder. SInko is competing this Sunday at the Philadelphia marathon, and he will be pushing Preston Buenega! Coach DiGennaro is racing the marathon as well, and he will be squaring off against Steve and Preston for charity. Go to this link to find out more about the charity challenge.
