2009 Rose's Run Complete Coverage

The 2009 Rose's Run gave for great performances, both on the course and by our own elite mainstream media staff, which we personally hired to cover the entire event. On the boys side, St. Mark's own Nate Castanada took the crown, winning in impressive fashion with 17:32. He won the epic battle vs. Coach Deej. Captain Matt Greishaber finished in 25:52. On the girls' side the overall Spartanrunner award went to Captain Pam Zhang (23:58), followed by Lin Hart (23:59-PR!!) , Ellie Pollock (24:07), Beth Sowden, (24:08), Jen Pollock (24:50) and Izzy King (28:16). Overall it was a great morning, except that Nate Castanada had to give back his 1st place prize that he won and wanted to give to his girlfriend. See girls, there are hopeless romantics left in this world!!

COMPLETE RESULTS

The Elite Media Productions Action 7 News Team Was Stationed in Wilmington for Complete Rose's Run Coverage

Rose's Run Video 1-The footage shows Danielle giving elite media coverage before the race. She just cannot decide on a favorite in the race, but she gives strong consideration to many. In the end the 1st place overall Spartanrunner was Pam Zhang. Danielle was not aware that Pam pre-entered, so she did not get to pick her as a favorite. The male Spartanrunner of the day went to Nate Castanada. Good call Danielle.

Rose's Run Video 2- Danielle gives intense early-race coverage. She also interviewed Lindsay Lohan and discusses the map.

Rose's Run Video 3- "After she throws up she'll talk to you"- Coach DiGennaro. Quite an inspiring quotation. Danielle gives in-depth coverage after the race. This is award-winning coverage here!!

Rose's Run Video 4- Rachel and Danielle go behind the scenes for a total backstage view of the team after such a thrilling competition.

Rose's Run Video 5- Again Rachel and Danielle go deeper into the midset and thought processes of the runners. They risked being shut out for years and years to come, but in the end they walked that fine line in journalism between capturing the story and going too far and really brought us the Rose's Run experience.
